New Year’s Resolution

Every February, I consider my birthday as my real New Year’s Day celebration. Happy to be a survivor of another 365 days in this ride called life. I don’t have a particular resolution but rather reflections and realizations from the past months. Some of them are just the same lessons and some are relatively new to me too. Here they are:

  1. Family is love. They always come first.
  2. Be patient
  3. All things, all people change
  4. Work hard, work smart
  5. You’ve got this very big love to give. You can still love unconditionally
  6. The kitchen will help you on your way
  7. Keep your friends really really close
  8. Build alliances
  9. Write
  10. Do not force yourself into the lives of other people
  11. Believe that the time is NOW. Do not waste time and don’t wait for tomorrow if you can do it today
  12. Overcome the storms, especially those you’ve made yourself
  13. Sing
  14. Play the piano again
  15. Learn how to drive- it’s an important life skill
  16. STOP when you’re sleepy and sleep, seriously
  17. Hope for the best in any kind of situation and when you fail, keep that hope
  18. Love is everywhere. Don’t think that it’s only found in one place
  19. Exercise and diet come hand in hand, you can’t just choose one
  20. Being kind never goes out of style
  21. Discover the beauty of loving quietly
  22. Value feedback
  23. Find your roots
  24. Serve the people.
