Every February, I consider my birthday as my real New Year’s Day celebration. Happy to be a survivor of another 365 days in this ride called life. I don’t have a particular resolution but rather reflections and realizations from the past months. Some of them are just the same lessons and some are relatively new to me too. Here they are:
- Family is love. They always come first.
- Be patient
- All things, all people change
- Work hard, work smart
- You’ve got this very big love to give. You can still love unconditionally
- The kitchen will help you on your way
- Keep your friends really really close
- Build alliances
- Write
- Do not force yourself into the lives of other people
- Believe that the time is NOW. Do not waste time and don’t wait for tomorrow if you can do it today
- Overcome the storms, especially those you’ve made yourself
- Sing
- Play the piano again
- Learn how to drive- it’s an important life skill
- STOP when you’re sleepy and sleep, seriously
- Hope for the best in any kind of situation and when you fail, keep that hope
- Love is everywhere. Don’t think that it’s only found in one place
- Exercise and diet come hand in hand, you can’t just choose one
- Being kind never goes out of style
- Discover the beauty of loving quietly
- Value feedback
- Find your roots
- Serve the people.
